Common questions
How much should I spend on Google Ads?
We recommend at least £500 a month in ad spend, separate from our management fee. That is enough to test properly and see what return Google Ads can bring before you commit more. Your budget is always your call.
How is the management fee charged?
As a monthly retainer based on an hourly rate, separate from your ad spend. We tailor the hours to what your account needs and review them with you regularly, so the fee moves with the work rather than with your budget.
How soon will I see results?
We use the first three months to test your core ads and pick up the quick wins, so we can see what the return looks like. From there, we reinvest the profit into new channels and campaigns, and scale up slowly, at a pace your business can handle.
Do you run PPC for B2B and brochure websites?
Yes. Alongside ecommerce, we run Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads for B2B businesses whose websites bring in enquiries rather than sales. For Printsafe, a Winchester supplier of industrial printers, we run Google Search, Performance Max and LinkedIn campaigns with dedicated landing pages, and track every enquiry back to the campaign behind it.
Performance Max or Shopping: which should I use?
Often both. Performance Max reaches across all of Google's channels but gives you less control and less reporting. Standard Shopping campaigns give tighter control over products and search terms. We usually run them side by side, then move budget towards whichever brings the better return for your products.
Is Microsoft (Bing) Ads worth it?
Often, yes. The volume is much smaller than Google's, but clicks are usually cheaper and we can import your Google campaigns as a starting point. We test it with a small budget and keep it running if the return holds up.
Do I own the Google Ads account?
Yes. Your Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Merchant Center accounts, and all their data, stay in your name. We work in them with manager access.
Do you run ChatGPT ads?
We've tested them. In 2026 we ran a ChatGPT ads trial for a retail client and paused it: costs were high, and there wasn't yet enough control over targeting or reporting to justify the spend. We're watching the platform and will recommend it when the numbers make sense for you.
