This policy explains what personal data ALS Digital Ltd collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. ALS Digital Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12950677, with our registered office at 15 Rockstone Place, Southampton SO15 2EP. You can contact us about this policy on 01329 729044 or through the contact form.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or request a free audit, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, website address, the service you need, your budget and your message. We do not ask for more than we need to reply.
If you call us, we may note your name, number and what you asked about so we can follow up.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, prepare a quote or audit.
- To deliver work if you become a client, and to manage that relationship.
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as invoices.
Our lawful basis is your consent when you send the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Once you are a client, we process your data to perform our contract with you. We never sell your data, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Enquiries are stored securely on this website, which is hosted on servers run by DigitalOcean, and a copy is emailed to us so we can reply. Enquiry details are also copied to monday.com, the system we use to manage leads. monday.com may store it outside the UK under its standard data protection terms. Only ALS Digital can see them. If you become a client, we may share the details a specialist working on your project needs, under a confidentiality agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted automatically after two years if you do not become a client. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and then for six years, which is how long UK law requires us to keep business records.
Cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website: which pages are visited, how long for, which buttons are clicked and whether an enquiry form is sent. It is loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz. The cookies identify your browser, but not you. Google keeps the analytics data for 14 months, processes it for us, and may store it outside the UK under its standard data protection terms. We do not use advertising cookies or share analytics data with anyone else.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Needs your consent? | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
zaraz-consent | Cloudflare Zaraz | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don’t ask on every page. | No, it is needed to respect your choice | 1 year |
cf_zaraz_client | Cloudflare Zaraz | Lets the cookie pop-up and our site tools run. It holds no analytics data. | No, the site needs it to work | 1 year |
cfz_google-analytics_v4 | Google Analytics, through Zaraz | Recognises a returning browser, so we count visitors rather than page loads. | Yes | 1 year |
cfzs_google-analytics_v4 | Google Analytics, through Zaraz | Keeps track of the current visit. | Yes | Until you close your browser |
Nothing is collected until you agree, and you can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or here: manage cookie settings.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us on 01329 729044 or through the contact form and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
